Thursday morning Boots was in the round pen getting worked with.  He is such a beautiful boy and we are excited to watch him progress in his training.

Windsong is doing fabulous and Kirsty decided she was ready for her first ride.

She did great too, stood calm and quietly for Kirsty the whole time.  It’s showing that all Kirsty’s hard work on the ground really pays off.  Kirsty didn’t ask her to move forward as she needs to be comfortable with the weight of a human on her back first.

Layla is doing great with her riding lessons too.  It’s great to see how many horses Kirsty is getting trained under saddle to make them more adoptable.

The whole afternoon on Thursday was spent in final preparations for the Extreme Rescue Makeover competition.  There are so many details for the event that have to be gone over.  Kirsty, being a contestant in last years event, has so many great ideas to make it even better this year.

Please come to the Extreme Rescue Makeover Grand Finale to show your support of the trainers!  The trainers have graciously donated their time and energy to train these horses for the event, and to give them a great chance at a long and wonderful life in Humanville.  We can’t wait to see the amazing progress that the horses have made in such a short time.  If you are able to come, please sign up on our Facebook event (click here) or email us.

Thank you all for your support and we hope you have a really great weekend.
