The farrier, Jessica, came out Tuesday morning to get some hooves trimmed.  Little Dee was a good boy getting his hooves done.

When Angel was having her hooves done, he hung around to make sure she wasn’t worried about what was happening.  He is such a good friend for Angel.

Joele was such a good boy getting his hooves trimmed that no one needed to hold him in the pasture while Jessica worked on his hooves.  In total 8 horses got their hooves trimmed up.

We had a horse surrendered into the Last Act of Kindness program.  He suffered a broken back several years ago which left him very unstable and with a lot of neurological problems.  His owners made the decision to surrender him into the program, and our vet will be evaluating him to make sure it is the right decision.

Candi’s potential family came back out to see her.  They are going to talk about it some more and we hope that Candi will be heading to her new home soon.

Russ was busy cleaning the shelter grounds.  He really makes it look great and works so hard.  We are so happy to have him as part of our team.

Kirsty got to work evaluating horses.  Friendly Frank turned out to be nicely trained to ride.  He came to us from Animal Control.  He is such a gorgeous boy!  He is about 12 years old and is a gelding.

He may have been sitting for awhile, so Kirsty will be refreshing his memory and tuning him up.

Mika, another one of the Animal Control horses, is also trained to ride.  She is an off the track Thoroughbred, we believe she is in her teens.  She is a very nice horse, she has probably done English riding as she collects very nicely, but she also neck reigns, so she is suitable for any home.

She saddled up great, bridled extremely easy, and overall she is going to be an awesome horse, especially once she gains her weight back.

Thank you all for your support!
