13 Saved Tonight from the Slaughter Pipeline

THANK YOU!! 13 Saved Tonight!!

I don’t know what to say, I’m truly amazed and so grateful for the outpouring of support tonight to save slaughter bound horses. 13 were saved tonight at a slaughter auction in Oklahoma and 12 were saved from auctions in Tennessee and California earlier this month. This month we saved 25 horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys from the horrors of the slaughter house. I set a goal to save 20 this month from the slaughter pipeline, I didn’t know if we could raise enough money to rescue and care for 20. I’m so thankful for your outpouring of support and because of you we were able to save 5 more horses above our goal. It cost approximately $1,000 to rescue a horse from auction, give them medical care, quarantine, training, and get them adopted into new loving homes. Thanks to you these 25 horses, that were rescued from the slaughter pipeline across the USA, will get the care they so badly need and the best possible chance of finding a loving permanent home.

I want to thank everyone who donated to help buy the new trailer for the Oklahoma shelter that the horses are riding in tonight. Shari (OK Shelter Manager) is driving the first load of horses back to our Oklahoma shelter tonight. She is an amazing person who has been volunteering for years now. Her hard work and dedication is amazing. She will be updating with Facebook Live when she gets back to the shelter, it is a 2+ hour drive for her.

Shari sent me a few photos of the horses, you can see them below.  We will be getting more updates to you tomorrow.

Again, thank you for your amazing outpouring of support!
