Last Friday Tawnee and her team headed to Columbia TN. Here in Tennessee they do a show called The Big Lick. If you haven’t read about the Big Lick and want to learn more about it, click here
On Sunday one of our adoption partners brought three horses. Daisy (pictured below) was an owner surrender from an older couple. They weren’t able to take care of her anymore and needed somewhere for her to go. We are so thankful that Payton was able to pick her up and bring her to us. Daisy has a long road of recovery ahead of her as she is foundered but we are working with the vet and farrier on that. She has settled in well and has begun treatment.
Roger our farrier came out this week to trim the horses. This time Parcey also needed his feet trimmed, he did a pretty good job.
Later the same day we got a phone call from a concerned lady. She had a neighbor who wasn’t taking care of his horse and she wasn’t sure what to do. After talking with her for a few minutes she had an idea and said that she would call us back. If you haven’t watched that video click here. Sadly, after the vet evaluated Ruby, we had to say goodbye to her. It is never easy saying goodbye but we are so thankful that Sheri was able to rescue her and that we could be there for her.
This week we had our monthly volunteer day. We are so happy that Cheyenne and two other volunteers were able to come out and help clean up the barns. We are so thankful that we have amazing volunteers that like to come out and help.
Update on our office! We now have all of the windows and most of the doors in. We are just waiting on the front door to come in so that they can finish it. We are so excited that the rain has held off so that they could get a lot done.
Shelby, one of our Junior trainers, was able to come out this week and ride some of the horses. She really enjoys coming out and spending time with all of the horses. The horses also get groomed and given a bath if needed. They love it when she comes out and spends time with them.
We just want to thank you so much for your support and for believing in what we do.
